You will be able to track your progress to see if you are starting to rank higher in the hierarchy of exercisers. It is motivating to see yourself climbing up the ranks to compete with the superiors or others may be taking over you and it motivates you to get back up in the ranks. You can set goals on how physically fit you want to be compared to people. If you don’t have much knowledge on people’s fitness, having these goals of being better than other individuals are very motivating compared to just mindlessly trying to improve yourself. It provides self-awareness on your weaknesses such as some exercises you can’t do as well on. Improving your weaknesses will lead to better overall physical performance and a greater rank in the hierarchy of exercisers.
